This handcrafted lidded stoneware jar is nothing short of a small sculpture. Thrown from speckled buff clay, its generous round form holds 2.5 cups and feels wonderfully substantial in the hands. The glaze is the real showstopper - swirling like marbled stone in layers of rust, warm grey, and dusty mauve, melting into creamy white toward the base.

The fitted lid is crowned with a hand-stamped dragonfly - my favorite. A small amount of pinholing around the waist is part of this piece's honest, handmade character and does not affect function. Perfect as a kitchen canister, a jewelry keeper, or simply a beautiful object to live on your shelf.
